Image
Hey there everyone!      It's crazy that my summer PR in Social Media course is almost over. The journey has been an incredible experience, full of learning opportunities, challenges, and joy. I'll admit that the first brief moments of class were a little difficult. It took some time to get into the swing of things, and the requirements felt overwhelming. But everything made sense once I knew what was expected of me. From Doubt to Self-Assurance      The tasks and projects seemed like a mountain to conquer at first. It was overwhelming to create the ideal social media campaign, examine stats, and interact with fictitious audiences. But as the weeks passed, I began to understand it. The Stukent Simternship in Social Media was a game changer. It enhanced the interaction and enjoyment of the learning experience. I was observing the unfolding of my plans as I conducted simulated ads aimed at various demographic groups. It proved to be an enjoyable and worthwhile experience. Grind

Selam lehulachin (peace be upon you in Ethiopian), fellow enthusiasts of summer! ☼ Allow me to give you a quick overview of my summer adventures while I balance summer classes, a new internship, and some family time! First off, I recently started working as a Sales Manager at Green Start Tech and I'm loving it. I'm getting ready to submit my first proposal for a federal contract; it's an exciting process. Cross those fingers for success! While I'm conquering the corporate world, I'm also tackling summer classes like a pro. Who said learning can't be fun, right? haha I'm just kidding, it's actually a bit hard I must admit. Taking an Anatomy and Physiology class online is hard, and learning how to manage my time between classes and work has been very crucial this past week. Let's now discuss nerves! I'm a little nervous because I have my driver's license exam in a little while. But hey, I think got this! all those driving hours weren't for

Ola! back at it with another one. I can't wait to share with you the wonderful adventures and unique experiences that went down this week! Monday: Interview Success with Cancer Patient Services        My professional journey began this week with an exciting turning point. For a position as a student intern at their Hancock County location, I had an interview with Cancer Patient Services. Joanne Reinhart, the director of the program, was who I interviewed with. Joanne made the entire process feel more like a discussion than an interview simply by being friendly and inviting. Being able to land this  internship is something I'm extremely thrilled about! Starting this fall and having a significant influence excites me a lot. Tuesday: Another Win with Green Star Tech      I had another fantastic opportunity on Tuesday, which was to interview for the position as a Sales Manager at Green Star Tech. Despite the tremendous anticipation, I was able to maintain my composure. I'

A vibrant Day at the Columbia Heights Community Event

Image
I had the pleasure of going to a vibrant community event in Columbia Heights, D.C., today, and it was a memorable one! In the center of the city, the event brought together small businesses, gifted artists, and engaged community members in a lively celebration of local culture. The salsa dancing class was one of the day's highlights. Now, I always assumed salsa dancing would only require a few fast spins and steps. boy was I wrong! It was a fun adventure learning salsa. The teacher led us through the complex footwork and rhythmic moves with enthusiasm and skill. I struggled at first, but eventually I got into the swing of things and was dancing with a big smile on my face. It was a great chance to meet other dancing enthusiasts and an even greater workout. Hey Dr. Aggie, that's another day of closed circles on my end! An additional memorable experience included a local black-owned company named Ethnicitees. Their specialty is making graphic tees, hoodies, hats, and other items

Bk's Summer Adventures

Hello everyone, or Selam Selam in Ethiopian! Now is the moment when I tell you about some of the fascinating and enjoyable activities I've been doing. Thus far this summer has been filled with unique adventures, personal development, and tons of fun. Allow me to share a few of my trips with you. One of my favorite things about this summer has been teaching my uncle how to swim. It's been incredible to watch him go from hesitant splashes to confident strokes. Starting with the basics, we focused on the importance of floating and basic kicking techniques. My uncle's joy on his face at being able to float in the water by himself by the end of last week made all of my lessons worthwhile. You see, it's not just my uncle who is picking up new skills. I now make running a part of my summer routine. It feels so good to run on the sidewalks just before sunset or first thing in the morning while listening to my Afro-beats soundtracks. Whether I go for a quick jog around the neigh
